Pandora’s Box

“I wrote this poem for English Class, and I thought I’d share it with you! I hope you like it!”

Pandora’s Box

This vagrancy has left me to wonder, this journey is none but mine

The edges of my dress, torn with amaranthine time

For what is love if not bound by whom’ve entwined

This malevolence in us all, a silent crime?

This box they speak of, a woman who has unleashed this

She has stolen this world’s irrevocable bliss

For I am to find that of Pandora’s Box, somewhere within

Because the battle of who we are, is a win hanging thin.

This odyssey, afflictive, aching, arduous

The impossibility to conquer, inconspicuous

How can we seek the end of all that is obscene?

When we can’t accept what life truly means.
