Dear Diary: Life Sucks When You’re Ordinary ♥

Dear Diary,

“Life sucks when you’re ordinary.” – Damon Salvatore

It’s true that we spend most of our lives trying to figure out who we are or what we want to achieve. When we’re little, we have all the dreams our minds could allow, but as we get older, those dreams disappear. Things, they get harder to deal with, and everywhere you look is someone ready to judge you for who you are.

So what? You’re you. That’s all that’ll ever matter. The minute you try to change yourself for someone else, be it a friend, a boyfriend, or just the people around you, your life would be built on a lie. Now, no one wants that! If you’re feeling outrageous right now, go ahead, do something crazy (be careful, don’t hurt yourself). I’ve spent so long wasting my time, withering away into my bed as that’s where I spent most of my time.

I was falling deeper and deeper into my own black hole. There’s no time for that my dear, you need to get up, you need to show yourself that you deserve better. Why? Because there’s no one else that’ll do it for you. Being independent is important, because people come and go, but who you are sticks with you forever.

I was feeling good, I dyed my bangs pink. So? Everyone’s entitled to feeling the way they want, everyone has the opportunity and ability to be creative. That DOESN’T make you a freak. It makes you human.

If you’re reading this right now, and you’re feeling just as alone as I have been, just remember that it’ll always get better. You have yourself, and you WILL find someone who loves you, and I know that there are people out there that love you already. Don’t give up, life’s too short. Go LIVE, because life really does suck when you’re ordinary.

Thanks for reading! ♥
