Noticing The Changes

Afternoon Tea

“It is important to keep track of the changes we set out to make. It keeps us in check, and it reminds us not to make the same mistake twice.”

I’ve changed.  When people ask me, what I’ve been up to as of recent, I hesitate to tell them that my life is currently at a standstill. However, with all the time I now have on my hand, it has allowed me to see clearly what I want and where I want to be. Everything happens for a reason. That is something I’ve always believed, and sometimes there are better things in store. I’ve been faced with a lot of decisions I never thought I would have to make. Frankly, I thought that my biggest struggles would have to do with how much studying I would have to do for finals. Though, as of right now, that is not the case.

I am a rather impatient girl. I like to know that things are going to work out in the end. Again, that is relatively unrealistic. I’ve spent quite a lot of time trying to find my voice, fine-tune my writing style, and be someone that I am proud of. I’ve currently been doing a lot of writing, and I’ve been enjoying it a lot more than I have been in the past few months. I’d wake up in the morning and say, “I feel like writing.” That is something I most certainly have not said in a while. While I’m trying to figure out what my next step in life is, I will most certainly devote my free time to the passion that has kept me strong all these years.

Don’t stop writing.

Love, Anisa Nasir (3)
