Recovering From a Stressful Week and Regaining Your Footing
“There are going to be times where things just seem to get a bit too overwhelming, and you’re left not knowing how to continue juggling all of those things that are gnawing away at your mind. I didn’t have the greatest time last week trying to deal with all of the things that just seem to get in the way of all the pressing deadlines I needed to meet, but I’ve taken the time to truly relax and recover so I can meet the rest of this week with the utmost productivity. Things have begun to wind down and I can finally begin to catch my breath, as I’m slowly learning what it means to make the most of the little “me time” we get once in a while, for things can get very stressful if you don’t balance this time with your will to get things done. It’s a great thing to be able to put into perspective all that you’ve accomplished over a short period of time, and just how things can begin to fall into place when you least expect it. That is why it’s important to stay consistent, even when it’s growing incredibly difficult to do so.”
Well, I can certainly say that last week was stressful and it definitely tested my patience quite a bit, but that didn’t stop me from making sure that things got done on time. I have quite a bit of plans for the course of this week, whether that’d be finishing up some studies for an exam, as well as tackling that ever-growing to-do list of mine. I have set aside some quality time to get some writing done as well, for now that my schedule is freeing up quite a bit, I need to take advantage of it as much as possible. It truly is a refreshing feeling to watch your daily to-dos lessen, freeing up some time to get creative. I’ve begun working on a new poetry collection that I plan on sharing quite a lot of on here, so that’ll give me a window to regain my footing in my creative space.
Sticking to a schedule is something that I have struggled with in the past, but it is proving to be a driving force in how productive I’ve been as of late, giving me some peace of mind knowing that I am doing my best with all of the resources I have available. Spending a little time on my hobbies have given me a fresh outlook on all that stresses me out during a given week, and it really does help to let loose and read a book or play a video game once in a while. I always talk about how much I need to begin exercising my creativity for my writing to become a constant, and now that I’ve been working at it, nothing has proven to be more fulfilling.
Now, it’s time to cultivate all that I’ve learnt so that I can further apply it to the goals I have yet to accomplish before the end of the month, and where I want to be in the upcoming few. Having a productive day is one of the things that help me sleep a little better at night, for the accomplishment does sit on my mind allowing the next day to be just as, if not more, productive. This week, my main focus is to finish wrapping up classes and give my upcoming exams all of my attention, but it does feel good to know that I can prepare on my own time, for once they’re over I can turn my attention to all of the creative goals I have set, so I can finally see another project out until the end.
